Eminent Cinematographer, Prasad popularly known as Steady Cam Prasad breathed his last today at Rai Vellore Cancer Hospital, Vellore battling cancer.
Hailing from a small town named Ambajipeta in Coastal Andhra Pradesh; the 53 year old cinematographer has emerged as an expert in operating the revolutionary steady cam. He began his career assisting cinematographer Hari Anumolu and later worked as a steady cam operator in Anand Cine Services. Ninne Pelladatha (1996) with Creative filmmaker Krishna Vamsi was his early break through as a Director of Photography.
Films like Swayamvaram, Chirunavvutho et al are few among his notable films. Dega (a yet-to-be-released thriller), was his last film as a cinematographer. He is survived by his wife and two children.
The entire Indian film industry mourns his death. May His Soul Rest In Peace.
