Tollywood uninterested in 100 years of Indian cinema.

Telugu Film Industry (TFI) is severely hit by on-going agitations in the state and now a new headache is bothering TFI. The South Indian Film industries have planned 100 years of Indian Cinema celebrations in Chennai on September 21st.  The coordinators of this event are making huge arrangements as President of India and prominent Politicians, legendary actors, singers and all other technicians are expected to grace the event. But our Tollywood industry seems uninterested in this event and many are thinking to skip and the reason behind this is the state turmoil.

Ever since the bifurcation of state has been announced, the film industry too is divided into many parts and recently Collection king Mohan Babu also requested Telugu film chamber to defer the event because of the worse condition in the state. But, this request has been politely squashed by Thammareddy Bharadwaja, Chairman of Film Chamber. He also stated that the event will materialize at any cost.

Earlier Telugu stars Venkatesh, Balakrishna and Nagarjuna had agreed to perform at the event. But all of sudden, the actors are now not even ensuring about their presence.  Megastar Chiranjeevi, the Central Tourism minister is also doubtful for the event as he is busy in lobbying for united AP in Delhi.

On the other hand, MAA organization is making last minute back up plans for the event to make it grand success. MAA recently held a meeting on this issue, but they couldn’t bring the entire industry under one roof. Seemingly many insiders say that, Tollywood was never united for any issue and how can they bring it together. In addition to this, people who are interested in attending the event are demanding lavish accommodation facilities and other expenses for them which add a burden to the organizing committee. With this pathetic attitude of our TFI, MAA is seriously worried about the 100 years celebrations. To what extent will this work and will TFI hold its reputation in the 100 years of Indian Cinema? Only MAA can answer these questions.
