The piracy and targeted negativity surrounding Game Changer have created significant challenges for the film’s makers. On the very day of its release, a pirated print of the high-profile film was leaked online, severely impacting the production team's efforts to safeguard their work.
Reports suggest that a group of around 45 individuals orchestrated the piracy, with coordinated efforts to sabotage the film's success. Days before the release, this group allegedly sent threats to the producers and other key members of the team via social media and WhatsApp. They demanded money, warning that they would leak the film if their demands were not met.
When their demands were not fulfilled, they leaked critical plot details on social media two days before the release. The situation escalated further when a full pirated version of the film was uploaded and circulated widely on Telegram and other platforms shortly after the film hit theaters.
The production team promptly filed a complaint with the cybercrime police, providing substantial evidence against the group.
