Interestingly, there's a fascinating backstory to the making of Game Changer. Initially, Shankar reportedly envisioned the project with Vijay as the lead. While the two had previously collaborated on the remake Nanban (Snehitudu in Telugu), it didn't achieve the blockbuster status many had anticipated, leaving fans yearning for an original collaboration.

Around that time, director Karthik Subbaraj had crafted a story that was pitched to Shankar, and it nearly brought Vijay on board. However, Vijay ultimately passed on the opportunity and chose to work on *Beast* instead.

This opened the door for Shankar to approach Ram Charan through producer Dil Raju, and the project quickly took shape. Despite delays caused by Shankar's commitments to Indian 2, the film has progressed, and the makers are confident about its release in early 2025.
