The release of Kalki 2898 AD has sparked widespread speculation among audiences, particularly about the portrayal of Lord Krishna's character. During a recent event, Nag Ashwin expressed his thoughts on Mahesh Babu being an ideal choice for a full-length portrayal of a divine character.
Nag Ashwin said, “I didn’t want to show Lord Krishna’s face in the Kalki universe, but if there’s ever a full-length role, Mahesh Babu would be perfect. With the love and support from his fans, such a film would become an all-time blockbuster even before its teaser release. I truly believe it would achieve phenomenal success.”
Nag Ashwin also praised Mahesh Babu’s performance in Khaleja, where the actor played a character oscillating between human and divine. “I loved Mahesh Babu garu in Khaleja. The idea of a God who is human and yet not entirely divine was beautifully executed. If he were to play a full-fledged God, he would undoubtedly excel,” he remarked.
Fans of Mahesh Babu have long wished to see him in a mythological drama, especially in the role of a god.
