According to trade pundits, the film has grossed an early Rs 2.2 crore in India in its initial booking phase without blocked seats. With blocked seat bookings included, the total jumps to Rs 5.27 crore, showcasing a high level of anticipation.

A breakdown of the earnings highlights the strong demand for Kanguva across various regions: Tamil Nadu leads with Rs 78.31 lakh, followed by Kerala at Rs 43.59 lakh.

In Kanguva, Suriya plays dual roles, embodying both the titular legendary warrior and a modern character named Francis Theodore.
