Vijay Deverakonda has been going through a rough patch over the last few years. His last few films like Family Star, Liger and World Famous Lover failed miserably at the box office. Only Kushi managed to do an average business but it was not a smashing hit. To bounce back hard, Vijay seems to have changed his route.
The Arjun Reddy actor is currently working on an untitled film under the direction of Gowtam Tinnanuri of Jersey fame. Tentatively called VD12, the first look and the release date of the movie were unveiled today. This was a surprising look from Vijay as he is seen sporting short hair, a thick beard and rugged attire. His intense expression made the poster more gritty.
The makers came up with the caption, "Destiny Calls, Bloodshed Awaits and A New King Shall Rise," while releasing the first look. This shocking makeover is now increasing expectations on the movie. VD12 will hit the screens on March 28, 2025.
Touted to be a spy-thriller, the film is being produced by Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for it.
