Tamil star couple Suriya and Jyothika, who are always first in donating money for noble causes, have come forward now to do the same. Along with Karthi, the star couple donated 50 lakh rupees for the relief activities of the Wayanad Landslide in Kerala.

On the other hand, actress Rashmika Mandanna also extended her helping hand for the flood relief activities. She donated 10 lakh rupees to the victims.

The death toll from a series of devastating landslides in Wayanad on Tuesday has officially risen to over 173, with unofficial estimates suggesting it could be as high as 250. At least 191 people are still reported missing, hundreds are injured, and thousands have been displaced from their homes.

Rescue operations resumed early Wednesday and are being conducted urgently as hundreds are still believed to be trapped under debris. Military personnel have intensified search and rescue missions, with the Army reporting that they have rescued nearly 1,000 people.

On the work front, Suriya is looking forward to the release of his next film, Kanguva. Karthi is busy with Meiyazhagan.
