Vijay Deverakonda's latest family-centric film, "Family Star," hit theaters on April 5th, but its reception hasn't been as warm as anticipated. Adding to the challenges surrounding the film's release, an official cybercrime complaint has been filed, alleging that negative campaigns have adversely affected its box office performance.

The complaint, lodged at the Madhapur Police station, alleges the dissemination of fake propaganda and negativity targeting Vijay Deverakonda and "Family Star." Responding promptly, cybercrime officials are actively investigating the matter, tracing fake user IDs involved in spreading false information. Assurances have been made that appropriate action will be taken against the perpetrators.

This incident raises concerns about the increasing trend of targeted attacks on films and artists. However, this isn't an isolated case, as similar incidents have occurred in the past. Actor Vishwak Sen previously addressed alleged fake propaganda surrounding his film "Gaami," while director Prasanth Varma spoke out about targeted attacks on his successful film "HanuMan."

"Family Star," starring Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur, is a Telugu family entertainer directed by Parasuram Petla and produced by Dil Raju under the SVC banner. Despite the talent involved and the anticipation surrounding its release, the film has received a mixed response from both audiences and critics alike.
