Telugu filmmaker Surya Kiran passed away due to jaundice. He breathed his last in Chennai on Monday after battling illness for a few days. Suryakiran was a child artist, and his screen name was Master Suresh.
Surya Kiran began his journey in the film industry as a child actor and supporting actor, appearing in over 200 films. He transitioned to directing with the Telugu film 'Satyam,' marking the beginning of a prolific career.
Some of his notable directorial works include 'Dhana 51,' 'Brahmastram,' 'Rajubhai,' and 'Chapter 6.' He also directed the Tamil film 'Arasi,' starring Varalakshmi Sarathkumar.
Despite personal challenges, including his separation from actress Kalyani, Suriyakiran continued to make significant contributions to cinema, both as a director and an actor. He also participated in the Bigg Boss Telugu season 4.
The last rites of Suriyakiran will be held in Chennai on Tuesday, as friends, colleagues, and admirers bid farewell to a talented filmmaker and artist.
