Recently, at the 100-day celebrations of the film, Rishab announced a prequel to Kantara, with plans to release in 2024 after completing the script.

During a recent event in Bengaluru, Rishab teased that Kantara 2 will be full of surprises and will explore a different genre. Rumors have circulated that superstar Rajinikanth may have a role in the movie, but Rishab has remained tight-lipped about the speculation, raising further anticipation among fans.

It is known that Rajinikanth praised the first part of Kantara and even shared his thoughts on social media. Rishab later paid a visit to Rajinikanth at his Chennai residence to seek his blessings. If Rajinikanth does appear in Kantara 2, it is sure to create a huge buzz among audiences.
