Samantha Ruth Prabhu's highly-anticipated mythological drama, "Shaakuntalam," has had its release postponed. The film was originally set to release on February 17th, but today the makers announced a new release date of April 14th. The movie will be available in five languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
Dev Mohan will star as the lead actor opposite Samantha in the titular role of Shakuntalam. The film is being produced by Neelima Guna, the daughter of Guna Sekhar, under the banner of Gunaa Team Works in collaboration with Dil Raju.
The new release date was officially announced by the production team on their social media platforms. "Shaakuntalam" is an adaptation of the play "Abhignana Shakuntalam" by Kalidasa and also stars Mohan Babu, Goutami, Ananya Nagall, and Allu Arha in significant roles.
