Chiranjeevi's interference in the script of the film Waltair Veerayya was initially thought to be a potential problem, but the film was successful at the box office, earning over ₹120 crores in its two-week run. This has led to the belief that Chiranjeevi is a good judge of commercial masala cinema and a skilled script doctor.

Previously, director Venky Kudumula had left the mega compound after his story was rejected by Chiranjeevi, but now it seems that he has had a change of heart and has decided to work with Chiranjeevi again.

Currently, Chiranjeevi has only one film in development, Bhola Shankar, and three producers but is in need of directors. Most likely, the film with Venky Kudumula is expected to hit the floors sometime later this year.
