Shah Rukh Khan's new film, Pathaan, has broken the record for the highest nett collection on Day 1 of Bollywood, collecting ₹55+ crores nett from the India box office alone with its Hindi version. This beats the previous record set by KGF 2, which collected ₹54+ crores.

The movie was released on a non-holiday day, but trade pundits are expecting strong collections on the second day, due to a public holiday.

However, the south collection for Pathaan is not as strong, with the Telugu and Tamil versions contributing only ₹2+ crores nett on Day 1. Overall, Pathaan is considered the first blockbuster of 2023 for Bollywood and a big film in recent times for Hindi circles.

Shah Rukh Khan's next film is with Atlee Kumar. And the fans are expecting that the film will also generate big numbers at the box office.
