Director Gowtham Tinnanuri, who was previously set to direct a film for Ram Charan, has now moved on to a project with actor Vijay. The announcement of this collaboration was made recently.

While Charan had considered working with Gowtham for a while, he ultimately rejected the story and asked the director to move on after the success of his film RRR.

Some had speculated that Charan was looking for bigger directors and projects, but it appears that the actor is hesitant to play another police role after playing an inspector in RRR.

Gowtham's new project with Vijay also has a vintage setting, which may have been a factor in Charan's decision not to pursue the film. It remains to be seen if Charan missed out on a good opportunity, but time will tell.
