Adipurush is one of the most anticipated upcoming pan-India releases. Directed by Om Raut, this live-action 3D film features Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. Earlier, it was slated for a grand release on January 12, 2023. But now we hear that the makers have decided to postpone the release.

The Pongal festive season is packed with multiple big releases in the Telugu and Tamil film industries. Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veeraiah and Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy are planning to arrive during Pongal.

In Tamil, Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu and Ajith Kumar's Thunivu are set to clash at the box office during the Sankranthi season. Clashing with these films will be a risk for Adipurush, primarily because of the fact that it is a live-action film. People will not show much interest in watching such movies ahead of other star hero biggies.

So, apparently, the makers have decided to push Adipurush's release to Sri Rama Navami as it is an auspicious day for the film's release
