Jr NTR and Ram Charan played the lead roles in the Telugu film RRR. The film was released across the nation and it is currently running successfully in Japan. The buzz is that the movie is unstoppable at the Japan box office.
The reports are coming in that RRR collected JPY73 million ($495,000) in the first week of its release. This numbers prove that RRR has become the film with highest first-week collection for an Indian film in Japan. RRR was released in 209 screens and 31 IMAX screens all over Japan.
The film reportedly entered the profits zone in just ten days of its release. Superstar Rajinikanth's Muthu remains the highest-grossing Indian film (JPY 400 million) in Japan.
Baahubali part 2 also ran well in Japan. We have to see how things will progress going forward for RRR, in Japan.
