South-Indian Popular actress Samantha's Shaakuntalam is one of the most anticipated films in Tollywood. While her fans are waiting with double excitement for the film, the makers of this multilingual mythological drama, on Thursday said they have decided to postpone the release of the film indefinitely.
Directed by Gunasekhar, the film marks Samantha's first Pan-India film. However, this postponement news came a week after production house Sri Venkateswara Creations announced November 4 as the release date of the film.
Sharing about the postponement, makers in their official Twitter account, said they have delayed the arrival of the film so that the audience is able to experience "Shaakuntalam" in the 3D format.
Sri Venkateswara Creations said in the post wrote, "We aim to give a bigger experience with 'Shaakuntalam' and immerse you in the 'World of Shaakuntalam', for which we as a team felt 3D would be a brilliant way. To facilitate this, we would be taking some time to put forth and so, will be unable to meet the earlier announced date of release," .
"The new release date will be announced soon. We thank the support and love showered upon us, from around the world, hoping for your support in this too!" the banner added.
