Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday played the lead roles in the recently released Telugu film Liger. The film, directed by Puri Jagannath opened to a negative response from everyone.

As per the trade reports, Liger collected a gross of Rs. 24.5 crores and a share of Rs. 13.35 crores on its first day. Considering the craze of Vijay Deverakonda, the number is less when compared to the reality.

The trade reports also say that Liger collected a share of 4.20 crores in Nizam and 1.30 crores in Ceded. The film also successfully crossed half a million dollar rupees through the USA premieres.

Apoorva Mehta, Puri Jagannath, Charmee Kaur and Karan Johar jointly produced the film. Billed to be an action drama that revolves around Mixed Martial Arts, the film also featured Mike Tyson in a crucial role.
