LIGER is one of the upcoming films in Telugu which is catching a lot of attention currently. Starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey in the lead roles, the film is creating a big sensation ahead of the film's release. Puri Jagannath is the film's director. Initially, the makers considered Janhvi Kapoor as the heroine.

In a recent media interaction, Puri Jagannath opened up that Ananya was not the first choice for the heroine's character and he wanted to launch Jahnvi in Telugu.

"I am a big fan of Sreedevi garu and I wanted to launch her daughter Jahnvi to Telugu. But, we could not work with her as she is not able to adjust her dates for the film. Then, we roped in Ananya Pandey. She performed so well in the film," said Puri Jagannath.
