Sensational filmmaker Mani Ratnam has been hospitalized now as he is diagnosed with COVID positive. The star filmmaker is now taking treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. The director was last seen at a public event on 8th of this month in Chennai for the teaser launch of his film Ponniyin Selvan.

The doctors are currently operating on him and there is no exact clarity on his health status. The people say that Mani joined the hospital only to further be on the safe side and avoid any unnecessary complications.

Mani Ratnam is currently busy with the postproduction works of the film Ponniyin Selvan. The film features Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shobita Dhulipala, Rahman, Prakash Raj and Trisha in the other important roles.
