Recently, we have been hearing that actor Vishal is set to enter politics and is planning to contest against Nara Chandra Babu Naidu in the Kuppam constituency in the 2024 elections. It is heard that Vishal will represent the ruling party YCP in the elections.

The news went viral all over the media and people were surprised to see Vishal's name in Andhra politics. Finally, the actor had to come out and clarify the speculations. He released an official statement and said that there is no truth in the ongoing rumours.

Vishal said that he is not entering politics and his current focus is only on films. "I have been hearing rumours about my entry into politics in Andhra Pradesh and contesting in the Kuppam constituency. I absolutely deny it, not aware of this at all and nobody contacted me about this. I don't know from where this news surfaced," stated Vishal.

"It's going to be movies & movies for me and there is no intention of entering into Andra Pradesh politics or contesting against Mr Chandra Babu Naidu," he went on to add.

On the film front, Vishal is currently acting in the movie Lathi. Directed by Vinoth Kumar, this film features Sunaina as the female lead.
