Actor Nikhil's 2014 supernatural thriller Karthikeya was a smashing hit at the box office. It was the directorial debut project of Chandoo Mondeti. Swathi Reddy played the female lead in it. Eight years after its release, the makers are now coming up with its sequel, Karthikeya 2.

The official cast of the film was announced today by the film's team. Nikhil will reprise the role of Karthikeya from the first part. Anupama Parameswaran is playing the female lead in this movie. Her role is named Mugdha.

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher is playing the role named Dhanvanthri. Comedian Srinivas Reddy will be seen as Sadananda. Harsha Chemudu is playing a role called Suleiman. Aditya Menon will be seen as Santanu. These are the principal characters of the world of Karthikeya 2.
