Daggubati actor Rana has previously worked with director Teja for 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri' movie. Featuring Kajal Agarwal as the female lead, the movie turned out to be the biggest hit at the box office.

The film is still one of the super hit films in Rana's career as a solo Hero. After the film, the duo have thought of working on another film 'Rakshasa Raju Ravanasurudu' but things didn't go well. Later, Teja wanted to do a movie with Gopichand but the 'Lakshyam' actor got busy with director Maruti's project. After that Gopichand gave his dates to Sriwass and became unavailable to work with Teja. On the other hand, Teja also started doing a movie with Suresh Babu's younger son Abhiram Daggubati in the lead role. Now, an interesting update came out that Teja is all set to revive 'Rakshasa Raju Ravanasurudu' with Rana in the lead role. It seems like the script works are already completed and Suresh Babu also gave his Green Signal. Rana has been suffering from some health-related issues and has postponed this project.
