Genelia used to be a star actress down the South in the 2000s. She acted alongside various star heroes like Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati. After getting married to Riteish Deshmukh in 2012, she bid adieu to her acting career.

Later, Genelia acted in cameos in films like Jai Ho, Lai Bhaari, Force 2, and Mauli. Now, the Bommarillu actress is making her full-length comeback with a Marathi film titled Ved which is being directed by her husband Riteish Deshmukh.

Ved also happens to be the maiden directorial venture of Riteish. The shooting of this film has been started already and Genelia also shared the first look poster of it on social media.

Ved is being bankrolled under the banner of Mumbai Film Company. More details about it are expected to be announced soon. It will hit the screens on August 12, 2022.

Meanwhile, it has to be seen if she makes a grand comeback in Telugu as well, in the coming days.
