Renowned broadcasting company BBC is all set to venture into the Indian regional OTT space. BBC already made its presence felt in India with its regional news channels and a few Hindi web series. Now, it is entering the regional OTT world with a Telugu web series.

Titled Gaali Vaana, this web series is currently under production. BBC is backing this project along with North Star Entertainment. The makers have informed that the series is inspired by a popular European show.

This is the first time a European show is being adapted in Telugu and the team has made necessary changes in the script to suit the sensibilities of the local audiences.

Sai Kumar and Radhika Sarathkumar are playing the lead roles in this series. Both the veteran actors have commenced shooting for their respective roles.

Apart from them, Gaali Vaana also features Chandini Chowdary, Nandini Rai, Chaitanya Krishna, Thagubothu Ramesh, and Jyoti Pradeep in the other pivotal roles.

Sharan Koppishetty of Kirrak Party and Thimmarusu fame is directing the project. Sujatha Siddartha is handling the cinematography.
