Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar breathed his last today morning in Bangalore. The actor suffered a massive heart attack this morning while he was working out in the gym. However, the doctors failed to treat him since his condition was extremely bad when he was bought to the hospital. The 46-year-old actor was fondly called Appu and Powerstar by his fans.

The actor was last seen in the film Yuvarathnaa and also wrapped up the shoot for a new film recently. He was supposed to do a film in the direction of Lucia director Pavan Kumar. The film's announcement also came out recently.

The fans, family members, well-wishers, and the Kannada film personalities are currently reaching out to Vikram hospital to see Puneeth Rajkumar for one last time. The state government declared a high alert. The theatres will remain closed today.
