Nagarjuna Akkineni joined hands with director Praveen Sattaru for an exciting film titled The Ghost. Billed to be an interesting thriller, the film unit halted the film's shoot as they were searching for the female lead. Finally, they roped in Amala Paul as a replacement to Kajal Aggarwal in the movie.

Earlier, Ileana, Shraddha Das, and other names did rounds for the project but the makers finally bought Amala Paul on board to do this film. The film unit is going to resume the film's shoot soon.

Kajal Aggarwal was the film's heroine and she even took part in the shoot. However, she had to come out of the project because of her pregnancy. Now, Amala Paul will be seen as Nagarjuna's love interest in the film.

Produced by Sharat Marar and Narang, the film unit will make an official announcement on the development soon.
