Indian film fraternity sends is hopeful of scoring an Oscar in the Best International Film Category in the coming year. Currently, the Film Federation of India is screening a total of 14 movies to finalize one film as India's official entry to the Oscars. Unfortunately, there is no Telugu film on the list.

Some of the films that are contending to be selected as India's official entry to the Oscars in the 'Best International Film' category are, Sardar Uddham (Hindi), Chello Show (Gujarathi), Nayattu (Malayalam), Mandela (Tamil), and Sherni (Hindi).

The buzz is that Nayattu, Mandela, and Sardar Uddham might have a chance to become India's official entry to the Oscars.

Currently, the screenings of these films are going on at Kolkata and the jury will soon announce their decision to the media.

Oscars 2022 will be held on March 27th, 2022.
