Mythological epic Ramayana was adapted on the big screen as well as small screen multiple times in the past. Even now, many films like Adipurush and Sita are being made, based on Ramayana. Now, a new project joins this list. According to the sources, a web series will be made on Ramayana soon. This project will be bankrolled by Madhu Mantena and directed by Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame. Apparently, this series will be made with a staggering budget of Rs. 750 crores.

The B-Town buzz stated that Ranbir Kapoor will essay the role of Rama while Hrithik Roshan will be seen as Ravana in this show. It is heard that both the actors will be paid a whopping remuneration of Rs. 75 crores each for the project. More details about this series will be announced soon. It was reported that Kareena Kapoor was approached to play the role of Sita.

However, the sources close to the actress said that there is no truth in the news of Kareena being approached for the project. Going by the budget and scale, it looks like this series will be the biggest series made in the Indian OTT arena.
