Many of us are not aware that actress Shreya Dhanwantary is a half-Telugu girl. She was born to a Hyderabadi mother and Lucknow father. In fact, Shreya also made her acting debut with Telugu films. But it was the Hindi film industry where she got the popularity.

However, Shreya says that she is waiting to make a comeback in Tollywood. Speaking with the Deccan Chronicle in a recent interview, Shreya said, "I am keen to do Telugu films. And honestly, if they call me, I will jump at it. My mother also badly wants me to do a Telugu film."

Shreya was first seen in the 2009 Telugu film Josh, in which she played Naga Chaitanya's friend. She made her debut as a lead actress with the 2010 film Sneha Geetham.

It is the OTT arena that gave Shreya much-needed popularity. The actress is hailed for her performance in the super hit web series Scam 1992.

She was also seen in The Family Man. Soon, she will be seen in Amazon Prime Video's upcoming web series Mumbai Diaries 26/11.

On the film front, Shreya is currently acting in a film under the direction of R. Balki. Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, and Dulquer Salmaan are playing the other lead roles in it.
