Tollywood sensation Vijay Devarakonda became an overnight star with the grand success of Arjun Reddy.

Directed by Sandeep Vanga, the romantic drama released in 2018 has become a biggest blockbuster. Shalini Pandey marked her debut with this film and the lip lock scenes between the leads went viral. But before Shalini Pandey grabbed the bold role in Arjun Reddy, the character initially went to Parvati Nair. The actress herself has revealed the same while talking in an interview. When asked if she really rejected Arjun Reddy project, the actress said, "I rejected Arjun Reddy. It is a good film and I liked it too,".

She further added that she rejected the project only because of the overdose of romantic sequences in the flick and she is not regretting her decision as she believes that she will get success in another form.
