Shalini is not only known as Kollywood superstar Ajith's wife but also a well-known actress in the industry. After marking her debut as a child artist, Shalini has appeared in so many super hit films like Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, Sakhi, etc.

During the shooting of Amarkalam, Shalini fell in love with Ajith and the duo got married. After the wedding, Shalini bid her goodbyes to the films and her last film was Prashant starrer, Priyada Varam Vendum. But as per the latest reports, the actress is now all set to mark her grand come back into the industry with Mani Ratnam's upcoming magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan'. The fans are super excited to see Shalini returning to the silver screens after two long decades.
