The craze for superstar Rajinikanth went all the way to Japan. The legendary actor has been impressing the audience all over the world. Previously, Rajinikanth's 'Muthu' movie was released in Japan which became the biggest hit.

Now, we hear that the Japanese dubbed version of his film Darbar was released in the country and has received a thumping response from the audience. We hear that the theatres were housefull for three consecutive days which is definitely a big thing for the makers. Directed by AR Murugadoss, Nayanthara and Nivetha Thomas played the female leads in this movie which is Anirudh Ravichander's musical.

Darbar was released during Sankranthi last year in both Telugu and Tamil languages. The film ended up as a big hit in Tamil and an average grosser in Telugu. Sun Pictures bankrolled the project.
