We already knew that Tollywood starlet Samantha Akkineni is all set to foray into the digital platforms by playing a crucial role in the much-awaited second season of the Amazon Prime web series, 'The Family Man' starring Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani. Raj & DK helmed this project. The story is going to revolve around a middle-class man who secretly works as an intelligent officer.
Samantha Akkineni played the role of an LTTE terrorist in the series. While talking about Samantha, the director duo Raj and DK said that the story moves towards regions where they wanted a Tamil actor. "When we were debating about a bunch of actors, Samantha's call did it for me. She had an extreme conviction and she was the one who convinced me that she could pull it off," said Raj and DK. They further added, "I wanted to ask whether she could do it. But she was very sure about it.
If the actor shows it, we better take it," said Raj and DK about Samantha. The web series was originally supposed to start screaming from February. Now the web series is speculated to get released in June this year.
