Lucifer remake is going to be an interesting film in Tollywood history. Mohanlal played the lead role in the original Malayalam version. Chiranjeevi liked the film and decided to remake it in Telugu. Initially, director Sujeeth came on board to helm the film. Later, Vinayak worked on the film for a bit and Mohan Raja is now confirmed as the director. As per the latest speculations, not many changes have been made to the film's script.

There were reports that Chiranjeevi wanted the makers to create a heroine character which was not there in the original. However, the film unit later decided to go with the original script. A noted actress will be playing Chiranjeevi's sister in the film. Satyadev will also be playing a key role in the movie. The film has Lakshmi Bhupala as the writer.
