After the stupendous success of the recent release Drishyam 2, director Jeetu Joseph immediately announced its Telugu remake, Drushyam 2. Venkatesh, who acted in the first part Drushyam, is reprising his role in this movie as well. The regular shooting of this movie began a few days ago. Ever since it was announced, there are rumours going on in the industry saying that Rana Daggubati is playing a key role in this film.

Finally, the Baahubali actor responded to these rumours in a recent interview. He clarified that there is no truth in the news and confirmed that he is not a part of the project. Drushyam 2 features Meena as the female lead. The makers are planning to release it in July this year.

On the flip side, Rana is currently awaiting the release of his next film Aranya. This tri-lingual action drama will have a worldwide release on March 26. His other film Virata Parvam is gearing up for the release on April 30.
