After receiving wide critical and popular acclaim from all over the world, Malayalam film Drishyam 2 is now getting remade into Telugu as Drushyam 2. Jeetu Joseph, who directed the original, is helming this project as well. Venkatesh and Meena are reprising their roles from the first part.

If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, actress Shamna Kasim aka Poorna is going to play a key role in this movie. Apparently, she started taking part in the shooting as well. However, we are unclear about what role she is reprising from the Malayalam version. The makers may announce more details about it very soon.

The shooting of Drushyam 2 is going on at a brisk pace. The producers are planning to release it in July this year. Apart from this movie, Venkatesh also has two more films in hand, Narappa and F3. Narappa got done with its shoot and is gearing up for the release on May 14. On the flip side, F3 is in the midway of its shoot. The makers are planning to release it on August 27.
