Recently, popular writer and producer Kona Venkat announced that he is going to bankroll Karnam Malleswari's biopic and also released a couple of updates regarding the project. Kona Film Corporation in association with MVV Cinema was on board to bankroll this project. Touted to be a bilingual film, budding filmmaker Sanjana Reddy got on board to wield the Megaphone for this project.

Rumors even came out that Rakul Preet Singh is in consideration for the title role but as per the latest reports, the movie got shelved because of some issues related to the script. Sources claimed that the makers are having some script issues and because of some creative differences, the makers have finally decided to shelve the project. However, the official announcement regarding the same is yet to get released.

The biopic trend is currently going on in Tollywood and the fans would also love to see the story of popular weightlifter Karnam Malleswari on the silver screens. But, we have to wait and see when the makers will revive the project.
