Panja Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty debuted with the film Uppena. However, Krithi Shetty could not be here for the release of her movie. Krithi Shetty had to travel Kolkata for shooting Shyam Singh Roy. Krithi Shetty, however. was able to watch her debut film Uppena on day one because of Nani. Nani arranged a special show of the film at Kolkata for her and the entire team.

Uppena created a new record by collecting a huge revenue on the release day. Going by the trend, Uppena will reach the breakeven point in a few days.
