Celebrities usually endorse several brands but sometimes, they should be careful in choosing them. If not, they will fall into legal trouble. Now, we came to know that the Kerala high court issued notices to celebrities Virat Kohli, Malayalam actor Aju Varghese and popular heroine Tamannah Bhatia for endorsing online rummy games. The notice was in a response to a petition that sought legal prohibition on these games.

The online rummy games were not included in the Kerala Gaming Act of 1960 because of which the petition has been filed in the court. Also, a 28-year-old man from Kerala died of suicide recently after losing a lot of money in the game. Since the brand ambassadors are influencing the common people, the petition was filed in the court.

Notices were sent to the celebrities and the court also sought an explanation from the state government. Tamannah and others did not respond regarding the issue. More details on the same are awaited.
