Fans of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan eagerly waited for 'Vakeel Saab' to hit screens for Pongal 2021. Had it hit cinemas for this Sankranthi, the excitement would've been massive and Tollywood box-office would have gained all mojo back. But, leaving all the Pawan fans in a huge disappointment, the Pink remake didn't walk into theatres as the makers planned it for summer.

The actor who missed to this year is sure to take over Pongal-2022 and he already is planning in those lines. Pawan decided to bring his next project with Krish, titled Virupaakshi, for Pongal next year. Planned on a budget of 100 Cr, the principal shoot of this period film has recently begun in Hyderabad. Considering the massive budget of this film, makers are targetting a good holiday season.

Certainly, Sankranthi is considered as the most beneficial season for Telugu films. So, producer AM Ratham and director Krish have targetted Pongal 2022 to make huge moolah.
