Allu Arjun's Pushpa is one of the prestigious projects currently in the production stage. Sukumar is the film's director. Sukumar and Allu Arjun earlier scored hits Arya and Arya 2. Now, the duo pinned a lot of hopes on the film's success. The film's shoot is already in progress. Interestingly, there are reports that Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is in talks to play a key role in the film.

Vijay Setupathi was supposed to play the negative lead in the film but he walked out of the film. Later, Bobby Simha is considered for the role. Recently, Suniel Shetty's name popped up in the media. However, we are hearing reports that Bobby Deol was approached to play a negative lead in the movie. The official confirmation on the same is yet to come out.

Devi Sri Prasad is the film's music director. Rashmika Mandanna plays the leading lady in the film.
