Megastar Chiranjeevi will be soon collaborating with director Meher Ramesh for the Telugu remake of Tamil hit Vedhalam. The pre-production work of this film is going on right now. The latest update from the inside sources reveals that the major part of this movie will be shot in Varanasi.

Apparently, the makers are planning to can some key sequences in Varanasi. It seems that these scenes will come in the first half of the movie. The original version had Kolkata as a major backdrop and it looks like the Telugu makers chose the city of Kasi. The shoot of this movie may begin by the end of this year or early next year.

The makers are holding talks with Sai Pallavi for Chiranjeevi's sister character in the movie. There is no confirmation about her inclusion yet. Meanwhile, Chiru is currently busy with the shooting of his next film Acharya. After this movie, he will start shooting for the remake of Lucifer.
