Vijayashanthi is one of the senior heroines in Tollywood film industry. The actress made her comeback to acting after a long time, with the film Sarileru Neekevvaru. Vjayashanthi played the role of a medical professor in the film. She received a very good name for her performance and presence in the film. Interestingly, the actress is now not happy with the way her second innings turned around. There are reports that Vijayashanthi decided not to take up any more acting assignments.

Vijayashanthi is focusing on her political career right now. She joined BJP recently and is looking at making it big in the party. Vijayashanthi also has bigger plans regarding her latest stint in politics. As of now, she is not signing any new movies but is looking at actively looking at keeping a pause to her acting career.
