In the drugs case that involved Rhea Chakraborty, some National TV news channels brought up the name of Rakul Preet Singh unnecessarily and created an issue. Rakul Preet was silent and started a legal battle against these TV channels. The Supreme Court has directed the case to News Broadcasting Standards Authority (NBSA). NBSA has found that the news channels at fault for airing slanderous reports against the actress.

NBSA has directed Zee News and Zee Hindustan to offer her apologies for airing false reports against her. All the channels that are found being fault will have to air apologies to Rakul Preet Singh on December 17. The channels will have to remove the videos from their channels.

These TV channels aired news that Rakul Preet also used drugs and she will also be arrested by the officials. However, it is revealed that Rakul's name never came up in the investigation.
