Bollywood's upcoming fantasy action trilogy 'Brahmastra', starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Tollywood King Nagarjuna Akkineni, was planned on a whopping budget. Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji has spent about 6 years to develop the film's story and he is finally making it with Karan Johar as producer. The principal shooting began in 2018 and it was extensively shot in Bulgaria, followed by London, Scotland and Varanasi. An interesting discussion about Brahmastra is now doing circles in B-town. Reportedly, the production budget of Brahmastra went beyond a massive Rs 300 Cr.
According to Disney and Star India chairman Uday Shankar, who spoke about the budget of Brahmastra at Hindustan Times Leadership Times summit-2020, the budget of 3-part movie is much higher than Rs 300 Cr and it is the biggest Indian film ever made. However, he ignored to open up about the actual financials of the movie.
Till today, Shankar's 2.0, Rajamouli's Baahubali-The Conclusion and Prabhas starrer 'Saaho' are considered as biggest Indian movies made. So, Brahmastra is expected to break that record and only by the end of production, we will get to know how much the producers had invested into it.
