2014's Manam is a very special movie for Akkineni family and it was the last film for legendary actor Akkineni Nageshwara Rao. The beautiful film made by Vikram K Kumar is revered as modern day classic and it is quite a magical movie for all the fans. Also, Manam grabbed many awards like Filmfare, SIIMA, Santosham and CineMAA in multiple categories.

And, now seems to be the time for sequel with Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Akhil and Samantha in key roles. Ever since Sam said that she is very much ready to act in its sequel, several speculations are rife about Manam-2. It is certainly not an easy task for someone to execute and impress with sequel, also the story does not have much scope for a follow-up. Unless someone develops script with an offbeat screenplay like Manam, a sequel to this classic cannot be justified.

At this point in time, we have to wait and see if Vikram has a line to weave a sequel to the masterpiece.
