Almost all the films which arrived on OTT platforms have fared poorly and most importantly, big ticket films have heavily disappointed. Be it Nani's V or Anushka's Nishabdham or Keerthy's Penguin, all the big budget movies ended up as disasters on OTT. So, now the debate is all about whether 'Miss India' featuring Keerthy Suresh- which released on Netflix- has made profits or pushed producer into loses.
Infact, this female oriented film is a good money-making product for makers who were able to wind up production in just Rs 6 Cr. If our reports are to be believed, Miss India was sold to Netflix for Rs 11 Crores, including the satellite rights. Besides that, makers have gained another 2 Cr through Hindi dubbing rights. Despite all negative buzz from viewers, producer managed to take home a decent profit of Rs 7 Cr.
Considering all these elements, industry insiders say that Keerthy Suresh starrer Miss India is a profitable product for the makers.
