Soorarai Pottru is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Sudha Kongara. The film is based on Air Deccan founder G R Gopinath. The film's release was supposed to take place on the 30th of this month but now, the film's lead Suriya announced the postponement of the movie. The film's Telugu version is titled Aakasham Nee Haddhu Raa and the release of the same also stands postponed now.
The reason for the postponement of the movie is that the makers failed to acquire a NOC from the Indian Air Force. Suriya has mentioned the same in a long note that he penned for the fans.
"As you all know, SP is a story set in aviation industry. So we had to deal with numerous procedures and permissions because it's a matter of national security and we were dealing with real Indian Airforce aircraft and security. A few new NOCs are still pending for approval, and we understand the wait is inevitable as this adverse time is demanding more and more focus on the nation and its priorities, than anything else!" wrote Suriya.
